"The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn" Proverbs 4:18a

Welcome to A.M. Gerber

It has been over 2000 years since Jesus Christ, the true light of the world, was born.  As time has passed, it is clear our world has become darker and darker with each passing year.

The great preacher C. H. Spurgeon, preached a sermon June 24, 1855, titled, “The Desire of the Soul in Spiritual Darkness.” In it he spoke to his fellow believer saying, ‘The Christian man does not always have a bright shining sun: he has seasons of darkness and of night.’

Spurgeon acknowledged that, ‘It is a great truth that religion—the true religion of the living God—is calculated to give a man happiness below as well as bliss above. But experience tells us that even though, “the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day,” (Proverbs 4:18 ESV) sometimes that light can become eclipsed.’ (http://www.spurgeon.org/sermons/0031.htm)

Our goal here at A.M. Gerber is, through a study of scripture, to awaken a deep love for God within you: a love that you need, to live a victorious life, as a man or woman of God. Knowledge of what God desires of us is not enough. Paul made a clear distinction between love and knowledge, saying, “”Knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up.” (1 Corinthians 8:1b ESV). If we have only knowledge of what is right, we will have a tendency to do what is right externally but not internally. Having a proper love for God will result in a changed life from the inside out: “Then shall your light break forth like the dawn.” (Isaiah 58:8a ESV) If you’re ready to fall in love with your Savior, and be his light to the world.
